Do I need to book in advance?

We strongly suggest you do book your session in advance. Book online or email us at  goloco@locoropes.com! Walk up reservations can be made, but will depend entirely on our session availability. Check our booking schedule.

What should I wear?

We recommend that all participants dress for the weather. Shorts and tee-shirts provide the most comfort for our visitors in summer. Long pants and long sleeves are standard for our cooler months, however we suggest you bring along a knit hat, gloves, and a fleece if you are prone to the "shivers". Closed toed shoes will be required year round. Flip flops and sandals will not be allowed on the course. All loose jewelry must be removed, with nothing worn around your neck, and long hair tied back. Trust us; you do not want to be distracted by dangly earrings when you’re scaling the Spiderweb. Please remember that Loco Ropes is a high wire adventure in the trees, so don't wear anything you wouldn't want to get a little dirty!

What time do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at our base camp at least 30 minutes prior to your booked session. You'll need time to check in with our staff and be issued your personal protective gear. Your session will begin with a Training Session to take no longer than 30 minutes. All participants must be present for the Training Session! An effort will be made to reschedule late arrivals, but no guarantees can be made. Additionally, early booking discounts will be lost, and refunds will not be issued to bookings or party members not present for the training session, so don’t be late!

What is a Training Session?

The Training Session is a brief pre-course safety meeting scheduled for the beginning of each Booking. Our Base Camp Instructors will teach you how to traverse the Loco Lines safely, and answer any questions you may have. Then we’ll let you loose.

Are there weight or height requirements?

Yes, to ensure people's safety on the course and on the zip line we have the following restrictions:

minimum height: 43" for the Treetop Adventure
minimum weight: 30 pounds for the Tower Adventures
maximum weight: harnessed properly for the Treetop Adventure and
250 pounds for the Tower Adventures

What can I take on the Course?

We recommend you leave all non essentials locked in your vehicle. Small cameras may be carried but recommend they have the means to be tethered to the harness, or you can bring (or buy from us) an SD card and rent our helmet Go Pros (camera and/or strap mount) for both hd photos and videos.

Is there an instructor with you on the Course?

No, this is a self-guided adventure. Staff will be patrolling the course from the ground, making sure you are having a great time!

How long does the Course take?

A full course, To the End of the Line, booking takes approximately 2 - 3 hours to complete. Our shorter excursions, the Short Line on Loco Line 1, our first course segment, and Jump the Line on Loco Line 2 OR Loco Line 3 each take about 30 minutes - one hour to complete.

Is there a time limit to complete the Course?

A time limit on fun?! No way! Feel free to take your time navigating the courses.

Ok, I'm a little scared; just how much adventure are we talking here?

No need to fear. Our courses offer varying degrees of challenge. Our friendly and highly trained staff will be present to assist you if you come down with a case of "Elvis knee." Still worried? Come on over and take a trip on the Flying Pig. It's great fun and a real confidence builder!

Will I be safe?

You can be assured that throughout Loco Ropes' exhilarating adventure, safety remains of the utmost importance to us. Our staff are ACCT (Assoc for Challenge Course Technology) Certified high wire facilitators and Red Cross Certified First Responders. Our Treetop Adventure Course was designed and constructed by ACCT Professional Vendor Members, who, along with our Certified Arborist, the DOL, and our staff, perform safety inspections. We utilize a continuous belay system that keeps participants securely connected to the safety cable wire throughout the Treetop Adventure. There are inherent risks associated with all aerial trekking courses. Loco Ropes does utilize the best available technology regarding course components including belay systems. Additionally your active participation during the training session will help us keep you safe. Please read our safety waiver for more information. (print it out, fill it out - and save time at check-in!)

I haven't seen the gym in a while. Will I be able to complete the Course?

If you meet the height and weight requirements you will likely be able to complete at least one of our courses. We've designed our course to reward balance and agility over brawn. If you are unsure of your fitness abilities, consult your doctor prior to visiting. Feel free to call us for more information regarding the specific rigors of each course.

I really want to go, but what if I panic?

Then come on over! If you get in a jam our course staff is equipped to lower you safely to the ground. You can then enjoy again your land legs, refuel your adventurous spirit, and come back a new day and visit us for another go when you’re ready!  Sorry, refunds and exchanges will not be given for not beginning or completing the course  and/or Tower Adventure.  We encourage and support all Participants in their completion of the Treetop and Tower Adventures, as well as respect their decision, at any point, to stop.  We're here to help everyone have an awesome Loco Experience!

What happens if I fall?

Your safety harness will catch you! You will then be able to regain your footing and continue on.

Sounds Great! When can I come visit?

Except for Thanksgiving Day, we are open March through November, Tue - Sat, for folks arriving between 10 am - 2 pm for your quick thrill ride on the Flying Pig, HotShot FreeFall, and Planks Peak Climbing Wall. Check our session schedule by calling us at (888) 669-6717 for times available to experience your Loco Line Treetop Adventure.

I’d like to book a session with my school/church/company or organization. Can we bring our own curriculum to address the needs of our group?

Yes, Loco Ropes utilizes interchangeable signs at each of its platforms to share information ranging from regional flora and fauna to Arkansas history. Groups who book the first available session of any day may bring 5” x 7” paper signs with information needed to facilitate your specific program. Staff will post your signs during your group’s safety training session; they will be collected and returned as you as your group exits the course(s). We ask $.50 per tree sign you use. Email us at info@locoropes.com for more information.

Rain Checks?

Loco Ropes operates Rain or Shine. Refunds will not be given for rain showers, so bring your rain jacket!  However, the course will be evacuated with a threat of lightning, giving you the option to wait it out or receive a prorated refund or rain check.

What is your cancellation policy?

Notice of cancellation given at least 48 hours prior to the start of your scheduled session guarantees a full refund. Should notice of cancellation be given with less than 48 hours prior, there will be no refund.

What if I need to reschedule a booking?

An honest effort will be made to accommodate rescheduling of a previously booked session. Consideration must be paid to the remaining available sessions on the day you wish to reschedule, and prior notice given. Contact us via email to goloco@locoropes.com or by calling (888) 669-6717 at least 48 hours prior to the booked session you wish to reschedule. Request made after this 48 hour window cannot be honored. Should we be able to reschedule your session, your admission paid will be transferred; however, any early booking discount given will be lost. View terms and conditions.
